Case Studies
Heat Pump vs Electric Element
A large resort on the Gold Coast was running both their outdoor spa and pool on electric element heaters at a cost of over $23,000 per year. EVO was able to show that by installing a CS55 Heater on the Pool and DHP30 heater on the Spa they would be able to save almost $19,000pa in running costs! Initial capital cost of equipment was factored in and the ROI (Return on Investment) was still less than 18 months. Projected savings over 5 years were shown to be $71,550 and over 10 years $170,200.
Heat Pump vs Natural Gas
An emergency services installation located in Melbourne required the heating of 2 very large tanks in a training centre. EVO modelled the running costs of gas heaters against EVO CS heaters. Gas running costs of $17,215pa were projected using Poolheat. By installing an EVO CS105 heat pump running on off-peak power EVO was able to project savings of over $11,958pa, providing a ROI of approximately 36 months.
